Renting a storage unit in Basel is quick and easy. At Squarefoot Selfstorage we offer not only affordable prices with no hidden costs for storage space in Basel, but also various payment options: You can pay the rent for your storage unit in Basel in advance or by direct debit! This is possible using Mastercard and Visa credit cards, bank transfer or deposit. We also offer special deals for new customers and seasonal discounts for advance payments!

You can also store VHS tapes and old childhood photos in our storage units. The tapes are already well protected in their plastic cases and can easily be packed into boxes. They are best kept protected from light and dry. The same applies to your favourite childhood memories, which you can keep in cardboard or plastic boxes in your storage unit.

A question we often get asked at Squarefoot Selfstorage regarding our storage units is: "Should you stack boxes in your storage unit or use shelving to organise everything carefully?" In principle, both are possible and depend on your preference for organisation. Shelves are practical if you want to store loose items covered by a sheet on top of cardboard or plastic boxes.

Shelving for your rented storage unit in Basel is available in various materials:

• Wood
• Metal
• Plastic

Classic metal shelves are the easiest to handle and the most stable. These are available in any size at any DIY store and are easy to assemble. Basically, you can use any shelving unit – there are plenty of individual preferences.

Wood is susceptible to moisture – is that a risk? No! Our storage units are dry, so there's no danger to a wooden shelf – a great option for organisation and storage space in your storage unit in Basel. If you prefer something lighter: plastic shelving units are also very robust and a lighter alternative to wood and metal shelves in your storage unit.
